Golf is firmly at the heart of the Kendleshire experience, and with 27 memorable championship holes spread over nearly 260 acres of the stunning Frome valley, it is no wonder.
The Hollows & Ruffet Courses were opened in 1997 to much critical acclaim. Designed by Adrian Stiff they both feature plenty of water and these holes were voted in the top 10 new British courses in 1998 by Golf World. The Peter McEvoy-designed Badminton Course was opened in 2001, built to complement its sister courses whilst adding an extra degree of challenge with its undulating greens. Our greens are well known for their quality and accuracy, built to USGA standards and tended-to by a very professional team of greenstaff.
In 2009 the club hosted the Reid Trophy for the EGU, with Ewan Scott becoming the European under-14 boys champion. It has also been the venue for EuroPro and Jamega Tour events, as well as the Gloucestershire County Championships in 2008.
The Kendleshire is a regional centre of excellence for practicing, our extensive facilities often being used by the county and national teams, whilst our dedicated team of Professional Staff between them cover the broad range of golf tuition.
There are a number of levels of Membership available at the club, tailored to suit your particular requirements, and with unique facilities such as The Zone as well as a young, vibrant membership, The Kendleshire sets itself apart.

We are all about making people happy, whether that is ensuring the finest greens in the Bristol area are playing just so, or putting the sparkling touches to the Bridal Couple's ceremony room, or using carefully selected local produce to craft exquisite homemade dishes. We find the best commendation from the huge number of repeat visitors we entertain, and we'll let them tell you all about us...
